About the GBHS Career & College Resource Center

The Career & College Readiness Resource Center is a centralized, comprehensive service center for Grand Blanc K-12 students, families, and our community. Our office provides a range of services with a single focus: To prepare students for life after graduation by providing career and college exploration opportunities.

We offer access to individualized career education and guidance through our Educational Development Plan (EDP), specialized Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, Grand Blanc Early College (GBEC) program, and Career & College Readiness / Exploration Seminars.

Educational Development Plans (EDP)

An Educational Development Plan (EDP) is a written career plan in which students:

• Identify a career cluster/career goal

• Assess their interests and skills

• Document their experiences

• Develop goals and plans

• Determine the education/training needed to meet their career goals

• Create a high school class schedule tied to their career cluster
