GBHS SUMMER SCHOOL 2026

GBHS Summer Advanced Credit Courses

Advanced Credit classes are online with the exception of in-person Physical Education (PE/GYM).

  • Students are required to have reliable and consistent Wi-Fi access
  • Advanced Credit classes contain a full semester of course content
    -timeframe to complete the class has been reduced, but the workload and expectations have not.
  • Students are expected to participate on at least a weekly basis, however daily participation is recommended
    - with the exception of in-person PE which requires full daily participation and attendance.
  • A limit of 1 full credit (two semester classes) will be allowed for summer school
  • Students must work with their counselor to identify specific class(es) they will take
  • Payment information will be sent once the class(es) are approved and registered for
  • Incomplete or unsuccessful classes will appear on transcripts as an "E" (failed grade)


REGISTRATION DATES: 
Opens:  April 20th
Closes:  May 8th

SESSION DATES:
In-Person PE:  June 15th - June 30th
Advanced Credit Online classes:  June 15th - with a STRICT completion date of July 29th.

CLASSES and FEES:
Physical Education and Health: $225 per class

  • Letter grades will be earned and reflected on transcripts

Advanced Credit Online classes: $225 - $1,000 per class

  • Credit only (CR) will be granted for completed classes - no letter grades will be earned or entered on transcripts

ADVANCED CREDIT COURSE LIST


IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION:

Physical Education

  • Summer PE is a 12-day, 6-hour intense physical education course
  • Teacher taught and runs Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm at GB High School
  • In addition to to doing a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, students can expect to run a minimum of 1 mile per day, and accumulate 20,000 steps per day
  • Full daily attendance and participation is mandatory for the 12-day course
  • Students will recieve a 30-45 minute lunch break
    -students may bring a sack lunch (no refrigerator is available), or they may leave campus and walk to a nearby establishment

Health

  • Fully online
  • Facilitated by a GBHS teacher
  • Self-paced, but daily work is required and necessary to meet deadline
